The "Category - CAT" number determines the light transmission rate (light transmittance) in the visible range. How well and clearly you can perceive your surroundings depends primarily on the lens you choose.
Replacement Lens TROOP (Model 2017)
We also have replacement lenses for our older model the TROOP (2017) so that we are also equipped for changing conditions. The standard lenses of the TROOP (2017) are great for all-round use, but replacement lenses are the best solution for special uses such as night skiing or in heavy fog and can be attached in a few seconds using the simple SnapTech magnet system. Four lenses are available for the TROOP (2017) model.
(1) The foul weather lens is perfect for snowfall and fog.
(2) The black replacement lens is category 4, making it perfect for riding in bright sunshine.
(3) The blue-green replacement glass is classified in category 3 and is therefore suitable for bright daylight.
(4) Our option with the yellow lens is super all-round and perfect for cloudy and partly sunny weather.
