The "Category - CAT" number determines the light transmission rate (light transmittance) in the visible range. How well and clearly you can perceive your surroundings depends primarily on the lens you choose.
Replacement Lens SOLAR
Ski goggles with interchangeable magnetic lenses
The SOLAR: The perfect snowboard and ski goggles for the slopes feature the SnapTech magnet exchange system. Thanks to optimal positioning of the magnets – and a robust polycarbonate frame that surrounds the lens – ultra-strong magnetic performance is guaranteed even during fast turns and crazy jumps.
A total of eight different lenses with varying levels of light transmission are available for The SOLAR. Depending on the wind and weather conditions, a particular lens is recommended. In addition to the specific light transmission, the lenses have a super anti-fog coating and are 300% more resistant to fogging. This means that the super anti-fog coating is three times stronger and more resistant to fogging than the previous models.
Skiing with poor vision: The best ski goggles with spare lenses
Outdoor sport enthusiasts know how quickly conditions can change and that on some days the weather can change from bright sunshine to snowfall. To be perfectly equipped even in changing conditions, you can get interchangeable lenses for different lighting conditions. Our bad weather lens and the purple-green bad weather lens ensure optimal visibility in fog and snowfall. With a light transmission of between 40 and 80% VLT, the magnetic lenses enable optimal visibility even in poor, foggy and dark conditions or in snowfall. The purple-green bad weather lens is particularly suitable for skiing days with flat and diffuse light, where high contrasts and an increased perception of the colors in the snow are particularly important.
