4 bike events you can't miss this summer!

The 2019 mountain bike season is already in full swing - it's high time to take a closer look at the festivals coming up in the coming weeks. We have prepared 5 events for you, which are a "must-visit" for all bikers.

Trail Days Paganella | May 30 – June 2, 2019

The South Tyrolean Dolomites are among the most impressive bike regions in Europe. No wonder that the Trail Days Festival, after 4 years in Kransjka Gora and Laces, has chosen the region around Lago di Molvena.

A long weekend full of good vibes, bike tests and trail action will once again attract numerous enduro and downhill bikers to the impressive mountain region. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, there is something for everyone in Paganella. In the three different trail sections Andalo, Fai and Molvena Zone, 8 cable cars offer access to flowlines, single trails and downhill routes. In addition, there is a pump track and skill area at Fai della Paganella and Molvena, which is perfect for technique training in between.

Of course, the party should not be neglected at a bike festival. Concert acts like Mono & Nikitaman, Mr. Nice Guy and Drums, and many more offer cool sound and a fantastic atmosphere to round off a legendary bike weekend.

Out of Bounds UCI Downhill World Cup Leogang | June 7-9, 2019

3 days. tens of thousands of fans. The world's best downhill mountain bikers. This is the Out of Bounds Festival in Leogang. On the second weekend in June, the Saalfelden-Leogang region invites you to a top-class bike event with an electrifying atmosphere and a comprehensive supporting programme. In addition to the freestyle motocross show, a large team and expo area and a live concert, everything a mountain biker's heart desires is on offer.

For Leogang, the OOB Festival is the dress rehearsal as the venue for the 2020 Downhill World Championship. When Loic Bruni, Rachel Atherton or rising star Vali Höll make the redesigned "Speedster" track unsafe at unbelievable speed, the chainsaws are ready for the fans to make and let Leogang tremble. Of course, all other 5 trails are available to you without restrictions, for example to test your future dream bike from the Expo area. A ticket for the OOB Festival costs 25 euros, although there is also the option of purchasing a festival pass including a lift ticket for 45 euros - a very cool deal that is worth taking advantage of!

The after-bike party at the MTB World Cup takes place in the KrallAlm, which you can get to with the party shuttles provided directly from the event site. Fat sound from cool DJs and a relaxed atmosphere make the legendary bike weekend complete.

Crankworx Innsbruck | June 12-16, 2019

Crankworx - the bike festival of the special class is 15 years old. Founded in 2004 in Whistler, Canada, the Crankworx has now become an absolute fixture in the scene. With 3 tour stops in Roturoa (NZ), Innsbruck and Whistler, the series enjoys worldwide popularity - all the more gratifying that the best downhill and slopestyle riders are stopping in Austria again in 2019.

What's on offer?

The spectacle in Tyrol's capital will be opened on Wednesday with the legendary whip-offs, which provide spectacular pictures and a start to the top-class party weekend year after year. On Thursday, the fans can look forward to the 100% Dual Slalom and the Pump Track Challenge, before the Mons Royale Speed ​​& Style will see spectacular tricks paired with breathtaking 1v1 speeds. Saturday is all about slopestyle - the world's best athletes around Brett Rheeder, Tomas Lemoine and Nichali Rogatkin, last year's King of Crankworx, show spectacular tricks at incredible heights. The comprehensive event program will be completed with the ixs downhill race on Sunday, peppered with World Cup athletes such as Finn Iles and Tracey Hannah.

In addition to a large expo and demo area, there are of course parties en masse on the program and of course you also have plenty of opportunities to make the downhill routes around Innsbruck unsafe on your own bikes. Glemmride Saalbach-Hinterglemm | July 3-7, 2019

From July 3rd to 7th, the Salzburg Glemmtal will once again be the ultimate bike location. Spectacular slopestyle competitions, a large exhibitor area and fantastic after-show parties are attracting bike fans to Hinterglemm for the 5th time.

Saalbach-Hinterglemm has not only been considered a bike Eldorado since the Glemmride was held - countless side events and a party atmosphere make the trails around the Schattberg, west summit and Reiterkogel even more special. Saalbach-Hinterglemm offers great routes and accommodation options for bike novices as well as for absolute pros, in which the lift ticket is even included in the Joker Card cooperation. Pump track and skill areas give you the opportunity to further improve your technique and the latest bike trends can be explored in the expo area.

On Sunday, the Specialized Rookies Cup is where young talent can put their skills to the test. Afterwards, stars from the downhill scene will fight for victory on the pro line in the ixs Downhill Cup. Roots, stone fields, tables and gaps - the route, newly designed in 2017, promises everything that makes a mountain biker's dream come true. Of course, all the remaining trails are freely accessible to you and promise no less fun. The Hacklberg Trail is an absolute "must ride". With a length of 5.5 km and 600 m altitude difference, flowing elements and demanding forest passages, it is an absolute highlight for MTB starters as well as for pros. Due to the new construction the Zwölferkogelbahn, the Westgipfelbahn is in continuous operation this summer, so the climb of the last meters of altitude from the Schattberg Express mountain station will not take place.
