BERGSTRAND is a beach volleyball club founded in 2022 with the goal of creating professional training structures in Austria – with a particular focus on women's beach volleyball.
The club was founded by Michi and Martina, two active Pro Tour players who know the challenges of beach volleyball from their own experience. Their desire for better training opportunities led to the creation of a club that today brings together players of a wide range of skill levels.
Currently, around 130 amateur players, 100 beginners, 50 junior athletes, and 70 professional players train with BERGSTRAND. A particular focus is placed on female leadership and supporting female players. This makes BERGSTRAND one of Austria's leading beach volleyball clubs in the women's sector.
Training in Innsbruck and Klagenfurt
From April to September, BERGSTRAND offers professional beach volleyball training in Innsbruck and Klagenfurt. Training sessions are led by experienced coaches in small groups and are available for different skill levels.
In Klagenfurt, regular indoor beach volleyball training is also available at the Sportpark from October to March.
Anyone interested in getting to know BERGSTRAND can simply send a non-binding inquiry and join a training session to try it out.
Groups are organized as closely as possible according to skill level and preferred setups, such as women's, men's, or mixed groups.
BERGSTRAND is not only about performance-oriented training, but also about community. Many players find new training partners, friendships, and long-term motivation for the sport through the club.
