With the new SHYFT, NAKED Optics is entering a completely new era of sports eyewear. Moving away from standard sizes and toward individually tailored frames that fit your face perfectly. This is made possible by a combination of smart scanning technology and high-precision 3D printing “Made in Austria.”

The SHYFT into a New Era of Sports Eyewear Fitting

With SHYFT, we are taking a decisive step forward: your sports glasses adapt to you—not the other way around.

Thanks to modern scanning technology, your individual face width is measured and used to calculate the ideal frame width. The result is sports eyewear that clearly stands out from traditional one-size-fits-all models. No more compromises—just a fit that truly suits you.

Fit Optimization Through Smart Technology

The process starts easily from the comfort of your home. Through the website, you can scan your face width directly using your webcam—whether on a laptop or smartphone, without any additional app.

The collected data is analyzed and automatically translated into the ideal frame width. Based on this calculation, your sports glasses are individually manufactured for you.

How Your SHYFT Is Made – Layer by Layer

The production of the SHYFT combines digital precision with skilled craftsmanship:

The frame is individually produced by our Austrian partner VOXEL4U using Multi Jet Fusion (MJF). In this process, a thin layer of PA12 powder is applied inside a 3D printer and then fused using infrared energy. The process repeats itself, building the glasses layer by layer. This technology ensures extremely high precision and consistent quality—perfect for personalized products.

Manual Finishing for Maximum Precision

After printing, the frame is manually removed from the powder bed and cleaned of excess material. The finishing process then begins. In a tumbling process, the frames are treated with granulate, which further cleans them and mechanically smooths the surface. The black color variant is then dyed in a color bath.

FinalAssembly and Shipping from Austria

In the next step, all components are assembled by our logistics partner in Austria. The nose piece and temples are attached, and the individually selected lens is inserted. Your finished sports glasses are then inspected, packaged, and shipped directly to your home.

Become Part of the Sports Eyewear Innovation

The SHYFT is more than just a new pair of sports glasses—it represents a real shift in the industry.

To enable this new level of customization, the entire production process has been reimagined. Parts of the manufacturing have been deliberately brought back to Austria. By leveraging innovative 3D printing technology, sports eyewear fitting can be optimized like never before—moving from standard sizing to full personalization, from mass production to smart manufacturing.

Be among the first to take this step—and experience what it feels like to wear sports glasses that are truly made for you.
