Imagine: you ride three short bike races and receive a new Specialized S-Works SL8 road bike , a new jersey , and brand-new NAKED Optics VOLT sports glasses on MY WHOOSH as a reward . Sounds too good to be true. But in the new MY WHOOSH Mission: Chasing Rainbows, it's possible—at least virtually for your in-game avatar. In this three-day race series, you'll ride three virtual races on the courses of this year's Road World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda, Africa, on the MY WHOOSH e-cycling platform. As a reward, you'll receive a new bike, a finisher's jersey, a finisher's badge, and a pair of NAKED Optics sunglasses for your MY WHOOSH avatar. But let's start from the beginning...

What is MY WHOOSH anyway?

MY WHOOSH is an e-cycling platform that lets you explore virtual worlds and routes using smart trainers. This means you pedal on your roller trainer at home in your living room, and the created avatar rides a virtual route at the speed or power generated. The resistance of the trainer is influenced by the gradient of the route and changes depending on the selected gear on the bike. The virtual worlds are generally based on the real environment of selected regions and are designed with great variety and detail. E-cycling combines computer games with sports, turning indoor cycling into an experience. You can find more information about MY WHOOSH here .

Mission: Chasing Rainbows in Kigali Rwanda

The Chasing Rainbows mission is a MY WHOOSH in-game challenge featuring three different races. The mission's stages are based on the upcoming Road World Championship, which will take place between September 21 and September 29 in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda . Anyone with an active MY WHOOSH account can participate in this event. You can easily sign up for the mission in the app. You then have one week to complete the specified race or route. Once you have successfully completed the three routes, you will receive your prizes in the game and can equip your avatar with them.

The 3 stages

1. Kigali Road Race Finishing Route (09/15 – 09/21/2025)

The first stage simulates the finish loop of the World Championship road race in Rwanda. The mass-start road race is the highlight of the World Championship and the most important race of the year. The winner of this race will wear the UCI World Champion's rainbow jersey for the next year—hence the name of the challenge: Chasing Rainbows. The MY WHOOSH mission lets you explore the final 15km of the infamous 267km African course and test your skills on a genuine World Championship course.

2. Kigali Time Trial Route (09/22 – 09/28/2025)

The second stage will test the individual time trial route. The individual time trial is a race against the clock. Athletes start individually and attempt to achieve the fastest time over a short distance. The goal here is to complete 30 km and 500 meters of elevation gain as quickly as possible to complete the challenge.

3. E-Sports World Cup Route (September 29th – October 5th, 2025)

MY WHOOSH is also the official organizer of the 2025 E-Cycling World Championship. This championship will take place on a specially designed virtual course on MY WHOOSH. The third and final challenge of the Chasing Rainbows mission will therefore be contested on the official E-Cycling World Championship course. This course was specifically designed and developed for exciting virtual racing. Those who complete this course will earn their rewards and can look forward to a new Specialized S-Works SL8, a new Kigali-Rwanda jersey, and new NAKED Optics VOLT sports glasses in the game.

So, if you're looking for a new challenge, need a new pair of NAKED Optics sports glasses on MY WHOOSH, or want to explore and try out the World Cup routes, you shouldn't miss this challenge. For those who can't complete the specified routes in the given week, there's the option to re-ride all the routes between October 6 and October 12, 2025, to still claim the reward. Additional information about the challenge can be found here or at MY WHOOSH on Instagram .
